The CEO of LexisNexis South Africa, Videsha Proothveerajh, was awarded the prestigious CEO of the Year award at the Future of HR Awards last week.

The elite gathering took place at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton from November 22–23, 2023. The annual Future of HR Awards honours Southern Africa’s exceptional, inspiring, and effective leaders in human capital management, HR innovation, and HR technology, highlighting their accomplishments for local and international peers to emulate and driving the industry to new heights. 

The CEO of the Year Award celebrates and honours leaders who demonstrate innovation, set trends, and succeed at employee engagement.

Videsha is described as an accomplished, pioneering corporate leader who stands at the forefront of the dynamic South African technology space. She is currently CEO and Chairperson of the Board of the legal technology company, LexisNexis South Africa.

In a statement released, LexisNexis South Africa stated that these are qualities that are integral to the LexisNexis ethos, and the accolade highlights the dedication to upholding LexisNexis’ values.

“This marks Videsha’s second victory in this category, following her initial win at Africa Tech Week in May 2023. This is a testament to her exceptional leadership, guiding LexisNexis South Africa towards a new tomorrow.”
