The day has finally arrived! Topco Media announces the long-awaited winners of the Standard Bank Top Women Awards at a glittering, black tie event, themed “My Africa”. This is a significant milestone as Topco Media and Standard Bank celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Standard Bank Top Women Awards.
Taking place on November 7, at the Sandton Convention Centre, the awards ceremony honours the extraordinary achievements of women leaders as well as the organisations that support and empower them.
The event promises an evening of recognition and inspiration, guided by the remarkable MC, Carol Tshabalala. Attendees can look forward to engaging with top CEOs, directors, and entrepreneurs, as well as hearing from remarkable keynote speakers.
In a press release, Topco Media CEO Ralf Fletcher said Standard Bank has been an invaluable partner, supporting the organisation’s two-day conference event over the past decade.
“This collaboration has propelled us to extend the reach of the Top Women programme nationwide, fostering a trusted network of leading gender-empowered companies and women entrepreneurs,” he said.

The Top Women EmpowHER Entrepreneur awards is a result of The Standard Bank Top Women EmpowHER Conference series that seeks to equip women entrepreneurs with the skills to build successful enterprises that drive South Africa’s economic development.
This year, the Standard Bank Top Women EmpowHer Conference travelled around South Africa to reach female entrepreneurs in Cape Town, Durban, and the North West. The winners in these regions were Denise Stubbs in Cape Town, Ntokozo ‘Melo’ Ntleko in Durban, and Lufuno Rasoesoe in the North West and the three of them are finalists for the top Women EmpowHER Entrepreneur sponsored by Standard Bank, culminating in the winner being announced this evening.
The 2023 judges include Cecilia Albertyn, VP: Membership & International Networks at British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa , Illè Potgieter – Managing Director at M&C Saatchi, Mabo Mazana HR Manager: Employment Equity and Skills Development at Harmony, Nomama Mei from SANBI, Latisha Naidu, HR executive at KIA SA, Mbali Tshabalala from Sanofi, Daniele Joubert from Uber, Alicia Eggington-Vice President and General Manager for P&G Southern Africa, Esay Reddy, CEO of KZN Oil, Kate Moodley – MD of Discovery, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Nosizwe Dlengezele-Senyakoe – Sector Head for Energy, Natural Resources & Utilities (ENU)WIPRO, Dr Rutendo Hwindingwi, CEO of Tribe Africa Advisory and Vumile Msweli, CEO of Hesed Consulting.
The esteemed panel brought their invaluable contribution and expertise while carefully selecting the crème de la crème in each category.
